The International Baccalaureate Programme is a two-year course for 16 to 19-year-olds that is regarded by top universities and colleges around the world as the premium Sixth Form qualification. The International Baccalaureate Programme at DIS has established itself as one of the leading academically performing IB schools in the UAE. In 2021, we celebrated our 11th year of IB graduating students.
Teaching and learning in the IB celebrates the many ways people work together to construct meaning and make sense of the world. An IB education at DIS empowers students for a lifetime of learning, independently and in collaboration with others. The programme helps students explore and construct their own personal and cultural identities. IB students develop strong academic, social and emotional characteristics through the programme’s distinct approaches to teaching and learning skills.

At DIS, we believe in flexible educational pathways that meet the needs of all our students. There are three IB pathways available to DIS students; IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), IB Career Related Programme (IBCP) and IB Courses. This ensures all our students have a pathway to challenge and develop their passions.
