Parent Support & EngagementEvery family has a first point of contact. Ours is our Parent Engagement Officer, who supports families joining the school, runs campus tours, helps new parents settle into the community, and connects families with the right person when they are not sure who to ask. |
| Colour-Coded Lanyards for Campus Safety | |
Every person on our campus wears a lanyard, and the colour identifies who they are at a glance. It is one of the simplest safeguarding measures we have, and one of the most effective. All gates are manned by our security team throughout the school day, with controlled access at every entry point. Visitors sign in at reception and are issued a lanyard before they go any further onto campus. Parents wear pink. Whether you are coming in for a consultation evening, a coffee morning, an assembly or a scheduled meeting, you will be issued a pink lanyard at reception. It should be worn visibly for the whole time you are on site and returned when you sign out. Other lanyard colours identify students, staff, visitors and contractors, so at any moment our security team, our staff and our students can tell who belongs where.
| School Meals | |
Our meals are provided by Abela & Co, one of the region’s most established catering partners, and every menu we serve is KHDA-certified. That certification governs nutritional balance, portion sizes and the ingredients permitted on a school campus in Dubai, and it is reviewed regularly. We operate two cafeterias, one for our Foundation and Primary students and one for Secondary, each with menus and service pitched to the age group it serves. Daily hot options, fresh sandwiches and wraps, vegetarian choices, fruit and healthy snacks are available across both. Cashless campus DIS is a fully cashless campus. We do not permit cash transactions anywhere on site, which removes the risk of children carrying, losing or being pressured over money. All purchases are made through the Spare app. Parents top up their child’s account online, students pay at the till by scanning their card, wristband or phone, and every transaction appears in your account. You can see exactly what your child bought and when, set spending limits, and top up from your phone in a few taps. Food allergies and dietary requirements If your child has a food allergy or dietary requirement, tell us at the point of application rather than after a place is confirmed. It gives us time to put the right protections in place before day one. Allergy information is recorded on your child’s profile and shared with our catering team, the school nurse and their class teacher. Our clinic team holds allergy action plans and works directly with families on managing severe allergies on campus. If anything changes during the year, contact the school clinic directly so records can be updated straight away.
