After School Activities at DIS
Sushi rolling on a Tuesday, crochet on a Wednesday, chess club on a Thursday. Our termly programme refreshes every few months across sport, creative and performing arts, academic enrichment and language and culture clubs. Some sessions are led by DIS staff, others by trusted partners including Activitee and Infinite Sports. Many activities are included as part of the school programme, while others are offered as paid options, giving families flexibility and a wide range of choices to suit different interests, ages and schedules. | When the school day ends, DIS shifts seamlessly into its co-curricular rhythm. |

How the Programme Works
Our after-school programme runs termly, with a refreshed selection of clubs and activities each term. That means students can stick with what they love, or try something new as their interests grow.
Activities typically fall into four broad areas:
- Sport and fitness
- Creative and performing arts
- Academic enrichment and skills
- Language and culture clubs
Some sessions are led by DIS staff, while others are delivered through trusted specialist providers that DIS hosts on campus.
Sport That Looks and Feels like DIS
Sport is one of the busiest parts of the after-school programme. | DIS has long offered a strong co-curricular sports provision, with sports such as football, basketball, rugby, netball, tennis and swimming forming part of the programme. Sports training at DIS is structured. Students join for skill development, team training, fitness and preparation for fixtures and competitions. Some sports pathways are delivered with specialist coaching partners, giving families additional options for high-quality training on a familiar campus. |

Clubs That Build Skills and Confidence
At DIS, clubs are opportunities for students to discover new skills, build independence and try something completely different. From hands-on cookery sessions where students learn practical kitchen skills, to knitting and crochet clubs that develop patience, focus and creativity, these activities offer a calm, purposeful space for learning beyond academics. | Sushi, anyone? Alongside this, students can explore chess, coding, debate, creative writing and problem-solving clubs that strengthen confidence, collaboration and critical thinking.
Students can also join activities connected to music, performance and the arts, building confidence through participation and practice. DIS runs a strong vocal and instrumental culture, giving students opportunities to explore music beyond lesson time.
