| Step 1: Enquire and connect with us |
Your journey begins with a conversation. Once you enquire, our Admissions Team will take time to understand your child’s background, current school experience and preferred start date. This is also the point where families can share important information, including English language background, previous curricula, or any additional learning needs, so we can advise clearly and accurately. |
| Step 2: Visit the campus |
We strongly encourage families to visit the school. A tour of the DIS campus allows you to see learning in action, explore our specialist facilities and experience the sense of community that defines our school. It is often during this visit that families decide DIS feels like the right place for their child. |
| Step 3: Complete the online application |
The online application formally begins the admissions process. Families are asked to submit key information and supporting documents, including recent school reports and identification. Providing complete and accurate information at this stage allows us to review each application carefully and plan appropriate next steps. Once submitted, the Admissions Team will confirm any additional requirements and guide you through the timeline. |
| Step 4: Assessment and review |
To ensure students are placed appropriately and supported effectively, applicants may be invited to complete an age-appropriate assessment or school review. This helps us understand a child’s current attainment and readiness for the year group they are joining. For older students, additional information or a school reference may be requested. |
| Step 5: Offer and confirmation |
If a place is available and admissions criteria are met, families will receive an offer of a place. The Admissions Team will support you through acceptance, enrolment and the administrative steps required to secure your child’s place at DIS. As demand for places varies across year groups, availability is discussed clearly and honestly throughout the process. |
| Step 6: A confident start at DIS |
Once enrolled, our focus is on helping your child settle quickly and confidently. New students are supported pastorally and academically, with clear communication between school and home. For students joining in the upper years, additional guidance is provided to support curriculum pathways and expectations.
