By supporting a portion of my tuition, it allowed me to focus fully on my academic and personal development without the pressure of taking on time-consuming jobs. This gave me the freedom to enrol in advanced courses, engage actively in student clubs and societies, and take part in research projects and hackathons.

At Stanford, I have taken a range of Mathematics and Computer Science courses, including advanced and graduate-level classes such as natural language processing. 

Receiving the scholarship also meant a great deal on a personal level. It felt like a strong vote of confidence and a reminder that the hard work put in over the years was recognised. Even while studying abroad, I feel connected to home and to the community that supported me throughout my time at DIS.

The foundation built during my school years has helped me transition smoothly into university life. The discipline, organisation and resilience I developed at DIS have been essential in managing the demands of my course at LSE.

The Al-Futtaim Education Foundation scholarship has not only supported my education financially, but has also given me peace of mind, motivation and the confidence to keep striving forward.

One of the most formative experiences so far has been working on collaborative research that combines Artificial Intelligence and higher mathematics, which helped me gain deeper academic insight and secure further research opportunities on campus.

During my final year at school, I made deliberate choices to protect my time and stay focused. I removed distractions, followed a clear study plan and leaned on the support of my family. Knowing that financial pressure had been eased allowed me to give my full attention to my studies without anxiety about what came next.

The scholarship gave me freedom. Freedom to concentrate during the IB, to approach challenges calmly and to aim high with confidence. That support continued beyond graduation, reminding me that I was not navigating this path alone.

At university, the pace and expectations are demanding, but I enjoy the challenge. I balance my studies with tutoring, leadership roles and opportunities that deepen my understanding of the law and its real-world impact. Each experience reinforces the discipline and resilience I developed during my time at DIS.
