Year 6 pupils went to JA Hatta Fort hotel on the 22nd January for 3 days. High up in the mountains, the children spent their time participating in several outdoor activities such as: Jacobs ladder, zip lining, first aid training and different water-based activities. These activities supported each child to build on their communication, team work and outdoor skills; they overcame their fears, demonstrated bravery and showed resilience.

Dear Parents, I am very impressed with how quickly students have settled back into school routines. Thank you for your wonderful support in getting your children here on time each day and so well turned out; uniforms are looking particularly smart and attitudes to learning equally positive. I have enjoyed meeting children and parents this week and look forward to meeting more of you in the weeks ahead. I am delighted to be part of this wonderful school and very humbled by the warm welcome extended by students, parents and staff – thank you. I appreciate all your feedback and welcome your suggestions and your support in 'Parents as Partners', as we continue to develop the high performing school that is, Deira International School.
