The IB Diploma results for the 2016-2017 academic year are outstanding, especially considering our inclusive mixed-ability intake into the school. This is a 5th consecutive year that our Diploma average has been significantly higher than the world average. This year’s results analysis show that the average grade per student is 5.7 with the average point score for the whole cohort of 34.1 points, this is 5 points above the world average!
The IGCSE results for the 2016-2017 academic year are also very impressive, considering that 10% of our students are registered and identified with special educational needs. This year’s results analysis show that 66 % of our students received A*, A and B grades. 14% of DIS students scored A* grades compared to the UK’s 6.7 % A* grades. 41% of all grades at our school are A* and A, which is equivalent to our previous best in 2015. 88% of our students achieved 5 A*- C grades including Mathematics and English. This is a remarkable result because 75% of our students are 2nd and 3rd language English speakers.
At DIS we are proud to be inclusive, ‘leaving no child behind’.
